After spending £325 on an eye specialist in London, I wasn’t fully satisfied with the eye examination. I came across Brown & White Opticians online and decided to give it a go. I booked the gold package with Mrs Mitchell and was not left disappointed. Her professionalism and thorough examinations were outstanding! The service was second to none and better than any private treatment I’ve ever had! I would not hesitate in recommending this optician to anyone! Great job Mrs Mitchell, thanks again. I visited your Luton branch this Wednesday with my 90 year old mother for her annual check up.
As usual the customer service was excellent and in particular I found Aisha to be outstanding. She clearly loves her job which shows in her constant smile, politeness and ensuring that whilst waiting we were offered drinks. I also observed her when a potential customer came in and began looking at glasses, to which she gave her complete attention to him in an attempt to secure a sale, but not appearing to pushy and at the same time not forgetting that I was still waiting for my mother to finish her consultation, thus ensuring that I was not ignored.
Jenny, well want can I say, as always her knowledge and skills are first rate, especially when it comes to repairing my glasses yet again. She also dealt with a new client, who had been recommended and Jenny spent as long as was necessary to ensure that the person left with a pair of glasses that not only she looked good in, but felt that the price paid was good value for money. Even though this person pushed Jenny for more discounts, Jenny stood firm and instead explained the advantages of the lenses and frame that she had chosen and demonstrated the superior service that Brown & White offer over your rivals. The lady left very happy.
Having spoken to my mother, she told me how comprehensive her examination was and was presently surprised by the cost of the new glasses purchased as she was expecting to pay a lot more. She also told me on the way home, how nice and polite the girls were.
So in conclusion, a brilliant and perfect experience and congratulations to you in training your staff so well, both Jenny and Aisha are an asset to the company and you should be proud of them.

Thank you so much for your kind invitation to your celebrations, unfortunately it is my daughters school fete that day and we have already committed to it.
I would just like to take the opportunity to thank and praise roxanne Saunders, she has been looking after my whole families eye health for the past 12 years or so, without her fantastic support and encouragement my son would not be taking his driving lessons right now. She discovered his terrible eyesight in one eye at just 4 years old and promptly acted, encouraging this scared and frightened child to put a contact lens in his own eye. She again assisted when my daughter had similar difficulties with her eyesight and her support with patching and huge personal interest in her development made what would of been a horrible time a fun and interesting phase. Thankfully my daughter is past the patch stage but is still so excited when its eye exam time as she gets to spend time with her beloved roxanne.
Roxanne also spotted My mother in laws cataracts early enough for treatment and her endless patience with me over the years whilst I umm and err over which frames to choose. She deserves a medal for her amazing knowledge and personal service.
Also, I must say Since joining hook branch, Stella has also been a godsend. Sorting out a very fussy daughter and her mother with cheerful patience and super fast turnaround when the inevitable arms get snapped off.
I really can’t praise them high enough.
We all really hope your special day goes well, we are disappointed we can’t share it with you but are looking forward to another 85 years of brilliant service!

I have been routinely attending B&W (and formerly McAllisters) in Hook for many years. Since they installed OCT, I have been having annual scans. I now have problems with my eyes and the scan history has proved invaluable.
Martin diagnosed the problem and Roxanne has assisted me in monitoring my eyes while under the “care” of Moorfields. Roxanne’s attention to detail, her explanations of the OCT results and her additional testing where she thought it advisable have been superb. She has been far more thorough than Moorfields and has identified areas of concern which they didn’t. Full marks to Roxanne and the B&W team. Thank you.

We were extremely impressed with the wonderful equipment you have had installed, but we were also impressed and very appreciative of your attitude, your patience and your willingness to painstakingly explain the images which the equipment had produced. I visited this optician in October and I was very impressed. First of all when you entered the shop it felt very welcoming.Also it is very modern. The staff are very friendly and smart. And when I saw the optician, Martin he actually explained everything he was going to do but in laymans terms. The eye examinations and the scans etc were interesting. Thank you and well done.

I have had my eye tested at your Luton branch for over 35 years and have always been impressed by the courtesy and expertise of your staff and the constantly improving technology used.
I have just experienced a Gold Standard examination and was most impressed with the capability of detecting eye problems long before they become apparent. Being able to see inside my eyes on the computer screen with an excellent explanation by Mr. White was most fascinating, and I would recommend the examination to everyone.
